This plan is also for those who want to purchase tickets for long distance travel. A senior railway official said, “We are trying to encourage people to use UTS mobile app as much as possible. The number is increasing and we hope that when the passengers understand the benefits of this app they will buy online tickets. ”
He said that there were about 45 lakh registered users of this app in the last four years and on average, about 87 thousand tickets were bought on a daily basis. To use this app, passengers must be around 25 to 30 meters from the station and through this it will be allowed to buy only four tickets.
In addition to the user registered on the app, apart from ticket, the platform ticket and the monthly pass can also be bought.
